ABOUT ME

Hello, I'm Catherine and I am a registered educational & developmental psychologist. I am based in Meanjin (Brisbane) and can currently offer both in person (Kenmore, Brisbane) and online telehealth psychological therapy sessions to adolescents and adults. I have a gentle, compassionate and curious approach to therapy and feel passionate about creating a warm, safe space for clients to feel heard, comfortable and supported.

I love my role as a psychologist and feel genuinely privileged to work with people to create meaningful and lasting life changes. As a late diagnosed AuDHDer myself, I have developed a passion for working with other neurodivergent individuals as they explore their identity and reclaim their unique strengths.

My previous experience includes working as a child consultant in Family Dispute Resolution and Mediation services, a rainbow counsellor at HeadSpace working with LGBTQIA+ young people, a school Guidance Counsellor, and psychologist roles in Indigenous Community health and private practice.  I am well versed in working with individuals who have experienced trauma, including complex childhood trauma. My extensive experience has allowed me to develop skills supporting a wide range of complex presentations and diverse individuals.

I predominantly work within an attachment based, psychodynamic framework. This means that I support clients to understand their early experiences and the impact they may have on their current conscious and unconscious social and emotional functioning and wellbeing. I take an integrative approach to therapy and draw from a range of evidence based interventions tailored to the individual and their unique concerns. I may draw from therapies such as EMDR, Compassion Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
